Many of my acrylic paintings incorporate lush batik fabrics wrapped around a birch panel support, multiple color glazes and complex textural surfaces created with acrylic mediums. I feel a deep connection to our natural world. To me the beauty, balance, and cadence that nature provides is therapeutic. I am highly interested in the preservation and appreciation of our environment. The natural world is the ultimate creation, an unlimited source of inspiration. I am especially attracted to remote areas where fewer people venture.
